I have been a huge fan of Kjazz 88.1 radio from CSU Long Beach for years. It is America’s Jazz and Blues channel from southern California. Trouble is, I’m on the road occasionally or outside of the general range of the station’s rather weak signal. It’s a public, user supported station, after all.
That’s why I’m recommending the groundbreaking TuneIn app for iPhone / iPad, Android, Windows and Blackberry. I can not only access my jazz fix, but can tune in to other trending radio shows. Believe it or not, TuneIn is world radio with music, sports, news, talk, and comedy streaming from every continent with 70,000 live radio stations!
Truly groundbreaking technology! Featuring GREAT content. That’s what we at SandBox TOP100 live for!
And the good news is, because of TuneIn, I’ll never miss KJazz’s truly awesome shows, such as: “The Swinging Years” on Saturday morning or Jerry’s Sherell’s great show: Frank Sinatra on Sundays 10-12 am, and Gary Wagman’s Nothin’ But the Blues show on Saturday and Sunday 2-6pm. And of course, Bubba Jackson’s show 6-10pm weekdays.
I absolutely LOVE Helen Borgers (2-6pm weekdays). She has the best taste in jazz music anywhere, anytime. And if you hear a great jazz tune on the station, simply go to the Kjazz’s playlist page and purchase it on Itunes.
Thanks to our guest blogger, Adrien, for the tip on TuneIn.
